Classic Pultec-style passive equalizer lets you sculpt your toneIf you&＃39;re not already familiar with passive EQs, particularly those modeled after the classic Pultec-style equalizers, then you&＃39;re going to be blown away by the configuration Lindell used for the 18XS. Instead of a typical low, mid, high setup, the equalizer in the 18XS gives you a low-frequency band and two high-frequency bands. Why two high-frequency bands? Because you can do some pretty cool tone-shaping tricks that way, creating resonance peaks and presence boosts that do a lot to make your tracks pop.
