Small-space monitoring can require careful bass management but Genelec has the ideal solution with the 8030.LSE Stereo Pak! This surround package combines two of Genelec&＃39;s new 8030A nearfield monitors with a 7050B active subwoofer.
Genelec 8030.LSE Stereo Pak at a Glance:The 8030A surround monitors featured in the 8030.LSE Stereo Pak utilize Genelec&＃39;s MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) enclosure with rounded edges and a gently curved front and sides. This allows the 8030A to achieve a very smooth frequency response and superb imaging qualities with minimized cabinet edge diffraction.
Genelec&＃39;s Directivity Control Waveguide enhances off-axis responseThe very compact 8030A is a powerful bi-amplified nearfield monitor that features the advanced Genelec Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW). The revolutionary DCW has been further enhanced to provide extremely accurate control of the 8030A&＃39;s directivity. Genelec designed this specially-shaped and very smooth surface and integrated it with the enclosure. Its area has been maximized to achieve an astoundingly flat on and off-axis frequency response. The 8030A has a wide and consistent listening window, with minimal harmful early room reflections and other colorations associated with conventional designs.
High performance reflex port designTo increase the 8030.LSE Stereo Pak&＃39;s low frequency extension and SPL capacity, Genelec designed an ingenious flow optimized reflex port. The long, curved tube maximizes airflow so the 8030A can reproduce tight bass without compression. The tube terminates with a wide flare, minimizing port noises and providing excellent bass articulation. An optimized die-cast aluminium structure with extremely durable semi-matt finish and acoustically optimized metal grilles add to the 8030A&＃39;s acoustic excellence.
High audio output with low distortionThe 8030A&＃39;s low distortion drivers - 5" speakers and 3/4" metal dome tweeters - are driven by the Genelec&＃39;s dedicated 40-watt bass and treble amplifiers after sophisticated filtering. Magnetic shielding, overload protection circuitry and versatile room response controls make the 8030.LSE Stereo Pak an excellent choice for computer-based DAWs.
The 7050B - a subwoofer optimized to match with the 8030AGenelec&＃39;s 7050B active subwoofer is a very compact low frequency loudspeaker, incorporating all the amplifier and crossover electronics needed to complete the 8030.LSE Stereo Pak. Adding the 7050B to this system creates a compact nearfield monitoring system capable of a flat frequency response from 38Hz to 20kHz (+/- 3dB). The 7050B&＃39;s 70-watt amplifier is integrated into the cabinet and includes an active crossover filter and driver overload protection circuits. Two input connectors and adjustable sensitivity provide easy connection and adaptability to different acoustical conditions.
Unique bass reflex cabinet optimizes subwoofer performanceThe Genelec Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE) bass reflex cabinet is made of a sheet metal rolled into a spiral shape and clamped between thick MDF side panels. This new construction technique provides excellent laminar flow characteristics with minimal turbulence noise and enables an optimal packing of a very long reflex tube into a small space.
Versatile mounting options plus special Iso-Pod standThe versatile mounting features on the 8030A include integrated rear support points for wall and floor stands plus a further 3/8" thread for mounting on the cabinet base. In addition, every Genelec 8030A monitor comes with an Iso-Pod (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler) as standard. The Iso-Pod is a clever mounting stand, which allows the 8030A to perform in either the vertical or horizontal
position. The IsoPod also enables the acoustic axis of the monitor to be aimed at the listener, while acoustically and mechanically decoupling the monitor from the surface it is resting on. This makes the 8030.LSE Stereo Pak easy to set up and adjust to your room.
